Our House Day 2: Breaking Ground

The closing documents recorded early this morning, so our builder wasted no time in getting to work.

Our House Day 1

Well, it has been a while, a long while since we posted here. We've been super busy growing our business and house hunting. In May, after dragging our Realtor around to 40+ homes in 5 months, we decided our best option was to build our own home. So we found a builder and a lot and started planing and designing our new home.

We closed on the lot and the construction loan on July 3rd. Since we currently live just a 1/2 mile from where we are building we decided that we will be taking a walk to the build site daily to check on progress and take pictures. We've had several requests for pictures and updates so you can follow along here on the blog.

Quinn's First Birthday

Las Vegas

On the way back from Arizona we stopped for the night in Las Vegas. On the first night we walked about 5 miles total and the kids were exhausted and fell asleep literally in minutes when we got back to our hotel room.

Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam

We drove down to Phoenix and Tucson for 2 weeks to visit family and friends and stopped off at the Dam on the way down to stretch our legs a little.

Claire did not like the wind, so she was a little concerned when we took this picture of her on the bridge.
